5 FEATURED ARTISTS EXHIBITING WITH US AT AAF BATTERSEA

Christopher Woodley

“People underestimate the beauty and practicality of glass”

Exploring how light responds to glass, Christopher, a Welsh born artist has won awards including the Gold Award (1st place) Stevens Architectural Glass Awards in 2013. He confidently explores the fragility and strength combined in his gem like sculptures, which are made to be treasured and adorned.

Christopher takes commissions for sculptures and furniture alongside his small pieces.

Emma Coyle

This well acclaimed Pop Art/Art Deco artist has exhibited alongside Jeff Koons and Yoko Ono and has welcomed some fantastic press coverage in recent months.  Her collection Age and Innocence, made exclusively for Degree Art was inspired by 1940’s photography.  Using strong, graphic lines and bold colours, her aesthetic is extremely recognisable and enough to liven up anyone’s home or office space in an instant.

Jo Beattie

Jo’s work charms us with its precious moments of daily life captured in her delicate thread compositions. The shadows they create within the frame provide additional intrigue. Subjects of young children and elderly couples pull on our heartstrings by relaying these people to our own loved ones and memories of similar times in our lives. Additionally they are completely affordable and most definitely a thoughtful gift.

Bakhtiyar Berkin

This recent Camberwell graduate and Pulp Fiction fan shows his true colours through the contrast of terrifyingly stark imagery with block saturated colours.

The artist's inspiration comes from pop culture and the surreal hallucinations he experienced during episodes of sleep paralysis as a child. However, all is open to interpretation in this exciting body of work.

Berkin is continuing to produce work whilst currently studying for an MA in Photography at LCC. We are eager to see what is next for this bold artist.

Michael Wallner

Michael Wallner captures London in a simplistic, distinctive style.  Perfect for showing off our captivating city, these contemporary installations should take pride place in a large space standing alone.

Using neon lighting to show off the skyline of Battersea Power Station, hot pink to show off the graphic architectural structure of The Gherkin and reclaimed wood is used as a canvas for The London Eye painting. A perfect artist to buy from at the AAF this October.
