THE BIGGEST INTERIOR TRENDS ACROSS THE GLOBE

Whether you're at the start of your journey or an experienced art collector, you can relax in the knowledge that you need look no further than work by these talented DegreeArt artists, hand picked to match ten different countries' Autumn Winter styles.

MEXICO - NEW VINTAGE

Mexico is holding on to the traditional character of their homes and keeping things rustic, vibrant and warm. The burnt orange hues, decadent rusty tones and sporadic composition of both Diana Baur's and Hermione Macmillan's pieces make them perfect candidates for a Mexican inspired interior!

UNITED STATES - LIGHT ARTWORKS

Light based artwork is an instant way to both brighten and modernise your home. Choose between the clean and contemporary look Ozlem Demirel's neon painting installations, or Mark Beattie's robust wire and neon orbs.

  GREECE - CEMENT MORTAR

Keep it minimal, like the Greeks and opt for crisp white walls with block colour accents in deep blues. Rogan Brown's intricate paper sculptures in their chunky box frames, or Merna Liddawi's egg tempera paintings, would look stunning in a simple interior.

SOUTH AFRICA - NEW LUXURY

South Africa is all about exciting textures and and colours, the materials are obscure and the patterns are bold. Claire Luxton's resin paintings tantalize with glossy metallics and bright colour accents, wheras Christopher Woodley's glass sculptures create geometric reflections when placed in the right light.

ITALY - INDUSTRIAL MATERIALS

The silky, the shiny and the ornate are set against the craftsmanship of using traditional objects and textures in this current Italian trend. Janina Holloway explores transforms utilitarian objects into things of beauty whilst using industrial materials such as copper to allow this separation to be obvious, whilst Ian Tricker juxtaposes rough and smooth in his fantastical sculptures.

JAPAN - GREEN INTERIORS

A trend that should be current all year round. With so many people living in cities without gardens it is vital to bring the outside in, in order to keep things green!

Anika Manuel litereally brings leaves inside, incorporating them into her work, bringing a new dimention to her collage paintings, the cosy dark green and deep reds creates a perfect colour palette for colder months. Whereas Will Wilford's large scale abstract oils combine this season's deep jewel tones in simple yet stunning compositions.

RUSSIA - MIX OF OLD AND NEW

True to its roots, Russian taste remains glamorous and full of luxurious colour and texture. Charles Westgarth's polished bronze scuptures would not look out of palce in a Russian oligarth's house, whereas the rich reds and golds of Carolina Piteira's figurative paintings hark to the extravagant tastes of the tsars.

SPAIN - SOPHISTICATED MEETS YOUTHFUL

Kitch works of art are all the rage at the moment and Spain seems to be hitting the nail on the head with this trend! With playful textures, compositions and shapes sitting against traditional interior layouts we are left with rooms that are light and colourful. Paul Wood's large scale acrylic compositions and Laura Fishman's pour paintings are perfect examples of artworks that fit this trend.

 INDIA - CRAFT REVIVAL

Industrialisation in India has prompted a revival of traditional crafts. You too can get on board with this trend with works by Sara Newman, who gives old found glassware new life with her nature inspired sandblasted designs, and Elaine Bolt's thrown ceramic vessels in earthy neutral colours.

GERMANY - NEW ELEGANCE

Flashy fabrics and Art Deco inspired furniture is the direction German interior designers are taking this season. Emma Coyle's fashion inspired paintings  and Philip Hearsey's treated bronze sculptures both take some inspiration from the Jazz age and would compliment this trent perfectly.
