This is the first of a series of paintings where I began using images of various groups of flowers and shrubs as inspiration to create a piece of art that is full, from corner to corner with an abundance of its own subject matter. I am exploring how colour can influence moods and emotions with this series, and the predominant colours of blues in this one has a very calming and relaxing effect. The edges of the canvas are painted dark blue to match the background in the painting.
