Olivia Mc Gilchrist

London College Of Communication (M.A. Photography , 2012)

Born in Kingston to a French mother and a Jamaican father and educated in France and the U.K, I was forced to come back to Jamaica in April 2011 after completing a Photography M.A. at the London College of Communication (2009-2010). Unsure how long I will remain here, my current photography and video practice incorporates my body, exploring trans-location and physical expressions of emotional states in the search for my cultural identity.

Nikolai Kozin

Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (BA Hons Fine Art, 2009 , 2009)

My normal approach is a spontaneous start with meticulous finish. I hardly ever plan what I’m going to do, just begin with gesture and rhythm and see where it takes me. Elements, like loose associations and metaphors, fit into place, as I go.

I am focused on human experience. It’s often the darker side of it - death, violence, melancholia. Sometimes it’s just abstract. I am not pursuing semblance. I often prowl in the margins of recognition, in the dark. Life is not a life drawing class - it's more than that.

Heidi Taylor

University Of East London (BA Hons Photography, 2011 , 2011)

My Senior school education was at Brighton and Hove High School for Girls, which is part of the Girls Day School Trust. At Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth form college, I took Photography in my second year at AS level and gained an A grade. This year’s study has literally changed my life as I discovered my great love of the subject.

I spent 2 years at Brighton and Hove City College, and successfully gained a BTEC National Diploma in Photography earning 2 Distinctions and a Merit.

Zahura Sultana

Wimbledon College of Art (MA Fine Art , 2000)

The complexity of how we store our experiences and how they manifest themselves in our decisions prescribes who we are today. The past is never forgotten but stored only to emerge later, not always intact but fragmented. The past haunts, confuses and distorts our view of present.

Laura Hunt

University of Wales, Aberystwyth (MA Fine Art , 2011)

Have we the dominant species disconnected from the land? Bound by the shackles of modern life, we ignore the fact that produce, faceless and packaged wrapped, ever came from a living animal. Do we ever consider the magnificent animals that are significant to our survival?

Esbe

Other (LRAM Prof. Cert.RAM , 2014)

I work on canvas and glass and.am inspired by the delicate draughtmanship of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau eras. My love of colours, unusual colour combinations, and Pop Art,  hopefully bring a modern sensibility to my images. I focus on faces and the human form in fluid motion, reducing each element to the stylish minimum.

Rebecca Jane Johnston

Kingston University (BA Art and Design , 2010)

Rebecca Johnston is a visual alchemist. Her process transmutes the ordinary, pulling the souls from the subjects of her portraits and spreading them across the page, smearing the skies over etherial landscapes and illuminating melancholic figures in dark forests.
