Beryl Desmond

Bath Spa School of Art and Design (BA (Hons) Fine Art - Painting , 2011)

My practice is based on the thematic continuum and investigates the relationship between architecture and space and its ownership of the landscape. The creative process through which I work allows my drawings and paintings to reflect the honesty and history of their making.

Matthew Spencer

Bath Spa University (Master of Fine Art , 2010)

Matthew Spencer is interested in how our world is represented to us through simulated images in the media and how these in turn form our comprehension of the world around us, basing his pieces on images from the media and internet. His works are cynical of utopian notions surrounding our relationship with the natural world, effectively combining medium, process and aesthetics as message.

Young Joo Kim

Chelsea College of Art And Design (MA Fine Art , 2012)
My artwork explores themes of beauty of absence, loss and memory. As a rapidly changing city dweller, we are made easy to become inseparable from the speed of places. I realise an insatiable urgency to reveal…something; remains, lacunae, vestiges, scars, clue, the barely discernible.

Diana Baur

Glyndwr (BA 1st Class Hons Fine Art, 2010, MA Art Practice 2014 , 2015)

Diana Baur visually represents non-visual fragments of experience - often auditory and kinaesthetic - momentary thoughts and memories. She takes inspiration from many sources, including visual references, and has developed an abstract expressionist style of painting reflecting her character and need to search for the ‘otherness’ or ‘intangible’ in life.

Michael English

University Of East London (BA Hons Fine Art, 2004 , 2007)

Like anyone who feels the urge to create, I make art because I feel compelled to do so. I love it, enjoy it, and sometimes endure it.

Long fascinated by the emotional approach to light in the paintings of Rubens, Caravaggio, and fellow Baroque masters, I have always sought to explore the dynamics of light and dark in my own paintings - particularly through depicting the human form in modern interpretations of classical themes.
