Tip 1. Let Go
Viewing your home afresh is often the most challenging part of redesign so trying to let go of how you ‘think’ your home looks is important to giving it an overhaul.
Tip 2. Clear Out
Clearing out the space of excess clutter and even moveable furniture helps create a blank canvas so you can address it with fresh eyes. Doing this and then leaving the room and walking back in can help you see the potential of a space rather than just in its usual state.
Tip 3. Be Your Guest
Even imagining yourself as visitor and physically entering your home as ‘them’ will help with viewing it objectively. That way you can decide what you like as well as what you dislike and want to address.
