This is a portrait of a Young Duke c.1700, in Trafalgar Square. He is very much inspired by my portrait of Sir Christopher Wren which is now in the Bankside Hotel's permanent collection (my portrait gallery). The Young Duke is framed in a vintage gilt frame, and looks wonderful as a statement piece, or as a collection of gallery wall pieces, each in gilt frames - see attached image of some of my 2019 collection. This is one of a set of particular frames beleived to have a Titanic connection. One of the main suppliers to the Titanic was England’s longest standing wine and spirit importers, With plantations in Antigua and the West Indies, these frames came from the original family seat.
