My practice explores the psychological effects of social media, derived from my personal observations and online interactions. I express my feelings as a young person living in this cyber reality, where all love is lost somewhere in the deeper facets of the internet. Using poetry and film I convey these darker aspects of contemporary society, by highlighting our continued obsession with virtual persona. THE OBJECT AND YOU (2020) is a story of isolation, loneliness, vanity and narcissism, but also optimism for a chance of rehabilitation and finding human connection.
