Sequin Kay is a contemporary textile artist from London, her works are a dynamic fusion of design and contemporary textile art. She uses sequins and light reflecting textiles to create meticulously ornate and decorative works on canvas and objects. She is formally educated in Painting and Arts Education at Camberwell college of Arts and Goldsmiths University. Her works have been exhibited across London, including on the London Underground, through public art agency Art Below and has exhibited internationally, showcasing works and collaborations in Miami, Ibiza, Canada, Berlin, Ireland, Portugal and Malta. Kay draws inspiration from ancient cultures and their connection to nature of consciousness. She has exhibited extensively In London; shows include Moniker Art Fair, Clerkenwell Design Week, Paralax Art Fair and The Dulwich Picture Gallery. Her work has been published in Spirit and Destiny, Aesthetica Magazine, Shoreditch House Magazine, Chrome Art Editions, The Evening Standard and NYE Magazine.
