Bankside x Contemporary Collective Residency: Art at the Heart of the Experience
We are pleased to join our partners at Bankside Hotel, Autograph Collection London, in celebrating their recent recognition by *Forbes* as one of the city’s most compelling arts-led and design-driven destinations.
Since opening its doors, Bankside Hotel has distinguished itself by blending considered hospitality with a deeply immersive art programme led by the gallery. Located in the heart of one of London’s most dynamic creative quarters, the hotel offers 161 thoughtfully designed rooms and social spaces enriched with original artworks and carefully selected furnishings that reflect the city’s cultural landscape. At Bankside, art is not treated as decoration but as an integral part of the guest experience.
The Art Yard Maker’s Studio and artist-in-residence programme form a living, working environment where creativity unfolds in real time. Guests are invited to observe artistic processes, engage with new practices, and encounter work as it evolves - blurring the boundary between exhibition and creation.Over time, this space has welcomed a wide range of artists whose practices span painting, sculpture, printmaking, and installation. Each contributes to an ongoing narrative that mirrors London’s artistic diversity and energy, ensuring the programme remains dynamic and responsive rather than static.
At DA Gallery, we have long believed that art is most powerful when encountered beyond traditional white-cube settings - embedded within everyday experience. Our collaboration with Bankside Hotel is a natural extension of that ethos. As Bankside Hotel continues to attract international attention and critical recognition, DA Gallery is proud to work alongside them - supporting ambitious artistic practice, championing emerging voices, and creating meaningful cultural experiences that extend well beyond the duration of a stay. Thank you to Lewis Nunn for the thoughtful feature!
