Year:2011 Medium:Acrylics and re-cycled Fabrics This was one of the first paintings I made following my degree show. It suggests the experiences of working towards an event, and I have deliberately used a colour palette from my degree show installation, which was called Reveal:Conceal. I hope that the viewer can ponder on what journeys in their life have meant to them, and how journeys in general have the power to change one, open new doors, new views on life. One arrives at the end of a journey tired but simultaneously refreshed by the experience. This painting was one of a number displayed in the inaugural show of The Willow Gallery in Oswestry, Shropshire in October 2010. It was used in the exhibition booklet, and can be seen on display in the gallery.
