Tim Ridley
Tim Ridley has been making work around the human/animal narrative from his studio
in Penzance for 5 years. Before that he lived in London having graduated from
Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2011 where he won the Ovalhouse prize for his
degree show. His experience of completing a Fine Art degree brought the many
different parts of Tim’s life together, Veganism, collecting, DIY, concern over climate
change and his ideas concerning animal welfare.
He won the Gloucestershire
University Prize at the Open West show 2016, his work has been included in the
NOA 2016, Imagine Falmouth 2017, ING Discerning Eye 2016, Wells Art
Contemporary 2016, BEEP2018, several NSA exhibitions at Tremenheere Sculpture
Park Gallery. He makes small scale diptychs on found materials, creates
assemblage, draws, collages and makes performances.
He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and sits on the committee. He is
represented by Saatchi Art online and Singulart. In Penzance his work sells through
Daisy Laing Studio
in Chapel Street.
After 4 solo shows, one of which was funded by the Art Council England, in
Penzance his work is in national and international private collections.
