Yasmina Podgorski graduated from Falmouth University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Photography, since then she has proceeded to specialise in Fine Art Photography with a focus on underwater nudes.

‘I photograph illusive and fleeting moments that collectively and indavidually portray a spiritually transformational narrative. My work considers the sublime, encapsulating a theatrical juxtaposition of strength and fragility. Inspired by my own faith I primarily work with water, due to its ephemeral and harmonious qualities. The lucid representation of the female figure, brushed delicately across the image touches on themes of romanticism, inspired by Impressionism and Fauvism. Above all it is my desire that my work causes a moment of self-reflection and profound enlightenment within a viewer. This is a life long commitment within my practice, to create within an audience a profound, long lasting and transformative response.’
