From Thursday 19th - Saturday 28th of December, celebrate the festive season with a visit to the Bankside Hotel and watch artist Rod McIntosh transform the Maker’s Studio into a festive studio window installation
ABOUT THE EVENT
The installation will be created on site 19th - 21st December and displayed throughout the festive closure. The artwork will be pasted on the studio windows, with the backlighting in the studio creating a beautiful illumination of the work that can be seen through the window and opacity of the paper.On Friday 27th - Saturday 28th December, The resulting artwork will be deconstructed by the artist and sold in separate sections.
Rod McIntosh is part of an ever-changing programme of makers in residence at Bankside Hotel’s makers studio. Bankside provides a permanent creative space and working with curators Contemporary Collective champion up-and-coming creatives, covering a wide range of disciplines including design, painting, sculpture, film, drawing, printmaking, installation, new media and photography. During his stay, Bankside guests are able to watch artists practice their creative expertise and so be taken on an informative and artistic journey.
