Especially for the Century Club, Soho Showcase, the artist revisits a vibrant work from the Shift series, created for her London solo show in 2015 and exhibited at the RA Summer Exhibition, now marking its 10-year anniversary. Inspired by the electric energy of Soho, the saturated palettes of Wes Anderson, the soundscape of Bowie, and the gestural force of Auerbach’s brushwork, this series channels a vivid, cinematic intensity. The artist draws on art historian Michael Peppiatt’s reflection on post-war London as a grey landscape, with Soho standing out as a pocket of colour and creative vitality - a fitting backdrop for these bold, previously unseen images from the Shift series. Limited edition of 19. The acrylic overpainting will be original on each piece. Do discuss a specific edition number or different frame colour with the gallery is desired.
