"Amy Kaluzhny is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of movement, technology, and visual art. Based in the UK, Amy integrates performance, digital projection, and painting to create dynamic environments. Her practice draws inspiration from diverse art forms including dance, music, and theater, weaving them together to transform static surfaces into interactive stages. Influenced by choreographer Merce Cunningham’s use of chance and collaboration, Amy blends the physical with the digital, allowing technology to play an active role in the creation of her work. She uses video projections over painted canvases, creating spaces where the boundaries between the human body and digital presence dissolve. Amy’s work also engages with cultural theories such as lipstick feminism, exploring empowerment, identity, and emotional well-being through movement and technology. She views art as a platform for dynamic engagement, where viewers are invited to step into new forms of interaction and reflection. Her work pushes the boundaries of how painting, performance, and technology can coexist in the modern world. Through experimentation and collaboration, Amy continues to explore the evolving relationship between the physical and virtual realms."
