"From the Ground Up" is one of four paintings where the palette has been limited and I have used paper and fabric for collage, and as the title suggests, some soil. The earthy colours remind one of the fact that we are all rooted to the ground on this planet - our thoughts may soar away above us, but we are not a creature that can fly. But, looking at the ground and around us can be a complete fascination if we take the time......... Two of this set have sold, and this the third goes well with the fourth one, also for sale. The two together would look really good either next to each other or one above the other on a small wall, perhaps in an entrance hall.
