I am a painter of places and buildings. I have a love of architectural landscapes and intrigued by perspective.  My work is concerned with representing the play of light on buildings to create an atmosphere and the way in which a medium, usually oils or watercolours, can be used both figuratively and exploiting the abstract qualities it can offer on a picture surface. Light and colour are essential elements which inspire my paintings and the way they create the personality of a moment in time, I make use of free, impressionistic brush work and an energetic approach tempered with a delicate approach to detail.
