Kwesi Awotwi
Kwesi Awotwi b.1992 is a London-based artist from Hackney. His artistic practice is disciplined in the use and technique of different art mediums. His work ranges between the themes of African Art, Dynamic Cubism, The Harlem Renaissance, Modern Art, and Expressionism. It explores his identity, personal experiences, and opinion, of what he feels it means to be British and Ghanaian heritage. This can be seen through the imagery displayed in his art pieces.
Kwesi during his studies started his training in Atelier Fine Art at London Fine Art Studios in 2016, where he learned and gained knowledge and experience in drawing, painting, and sculpting. He was awarded the De Laszlo Foundation Scholarship during his studies and completed his training in 2021.
In addition to his classical training, Kwesi attended the Art Academy and Heaherley School of Fine Art, where he studied Printmaking and Watercolour Painting.
