It all started when I accidentally stumbled upon the asteroid belt of art. And, now that's what I call home. My imagination has no bounds and I think mermaids do exist in reality. So do pixies, fairies and all the other beings that we have hitherto only heard of. Growing up, art is what I felt enamoured by and yet I had no intentions of pursuing it initially but that changed swiftly as I began taking my art more seriously and it quickly became my passion. My style is bright, bold, dynamic and "in your face". The colors I choose are vibrant and flamboyant. The process of taking a print is what interests me. You may plan it in detail but when you execute it, the result would be different from what you originally planned.
Anything as volatile and fleeting as a thought or a feeling may lead to the genesis of art. The result i.e. the artwork is of paramount importance. The process of taking a commonplace thing and recreating it into something that is mysterious and captures emotions so the viewer can relate to the subject is my modus operandi. Muse strikes me during the most mundane of times as I drift through life while pursuing avenues for inspirations such as singing and dreaming. Nature has also been one of my constant muses since my journey began.
The meaning behind my art work is easy to deduce. My work is like storytelling. It is what it says it is. That is why I like to say "Title says it all" and yet it is fascinating to hear the inferences people draw from it and how they interpret my work. As I am aging and experiencing the myriad facets of life as an individual, my work and style are evolving and getting enriched too, especially in the recent times, global events have allowed me to tweak the traditional print-making methods and explore new possibilities.
