Queen Elizabeth II celebrates her 90th birthday on Thursday April 21st, 2016.
Born in London, in 1926 in Mayfair, Elizabeth became Queen at just 25 and has gone onto become our longest reigning monarch.
Queen Elizabeth II has become a huge person of interest for painters and artists using a wide array of experimental mediums to depict the Queen in traditional portrait poses to contemporary depictions of her with her corgies, sitting at her throne or relaxing at her home in Balmoral.
