Ella Husbands is a Brighton-based artist whose work centres on a sense of movement and pattern. She uses layers of light and colour to evoke distorted environments and provoke the audience to think about the relationship between their one senses and their surroundings. 

Her work often combines complex video projections and sculptural objects to immerse the viewer in an environment. Her installation ‘Embodied Distortion’ is an exploration of altered human sensory perception and a disrupted sense of time. It is connected to her experience with chronic fatigue syndrome and her interest in representing environments through the lens of disrupted perception.
