Philip Buckingham
I am interested in portraying architecture and its surroundings- the junction of nature and the man-made. I like to depict buildings as a representation of a point of time, an opinion or even a lost tradition.
The current state of the architect's role in industry influences me. Buildings have and always be made by our hands. Yet the industry heavily relies on computer and CAD. I want to show buildings not as products and realised computer models but as moments in time, extensions of ourselves and of nature.
