‘Four Degrees’ showcases the works of four selected art students who recently graduated from Greenwich University in June 2009.
The four artists methods and practise, though vastly different in their execution share a commonality, to bring contemporary solutions to issues relating to contextual arts such as the artist’s relationship to their medium, the Vanitas inspired representation of life and death and consequence, the functionality of everyday ephemera and the empathic representation of the human state via Portraiture. As a result of this the exhibition reflects both the originality and personalities of the four artists involved.
