Materials:

The materials used to create this work include: Splined backs medium weight canvas, acrylic paints, acrylic mediums, epoxy resin, magnets, and a paint brush Magnets embedded into the paintbrushes' bristles and the canvas's back (in matching orientations) allow the brushes to be securely shipped detached from the canvas. Once the painting is unpacked, bring the paintbrush near the correct position on the painting, and the paintbrush will magnetize to the canvas. The magnet system I am using also prevents someone from pulling the entire work off the wall if bumped into and instead just removing the brush.

This work is from a series created near the end of 2020 into 2021. The concept for these works come from the feeling of dredging forward, continually moving, needing to keep the wheels turning and the ideas flowing in the fear that they may stop altogether and the will to clear one's own path will lose its light for the life others have in store for us. This content state of moving towards a goal that most can not see is not meant to be pessimistic nor joyful but the sheer determination to strive for more. To create a clearer vision of the future, an ongoing work that is noteworthy. These works, as is life, are judged at a snapshot, a moment in time; before the story is finished and the destination is clear, the story is judged. A dream stomped out, but some like these works represent pushing forward, continuing to sow the seeds that will become the idea most can not see, and the story all wish to tell.
