A Winter Showcase | Georgi Morrison + Raph Thomas | DegreeArt.com The Original Online Art Gallery

DA Gallery and The Bingham Riverhouse conclude their 2024 art programme with a special exhibition featuring two contrasting yet complementary local artists: Georgi Morrison and Raph Thomas. This curated selection not only enhances the unique décor and atmosphere of the Bingham Riverhouse but also offers gifting inspiration for the season.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

GEORGI MORRISON:
Georgi Morrison has always been an artist at heart. After teaching herself to paint with oils during the pandemic, she decided to leave her corporate career behind and dedicate herself entirely to her creative practice.

Fascinated by the human face and form, Morrison draws inspiration from vintage publications and the portraits of people who captivate her. Her work often captures unconventional poses, revealing the unique personalities of her subjects.

Each painting takes weeks to create, and she frequently works on multiple canvases simultaneously, allowing her ideas to evolve organically.

Based in South West London, Morrison is in the early stages of her artistic career but has already exhibited in several group shows. She is steadily building a portfolio of internationally based clients and commissioners.

RAPH THOMAS:
Raph Thomas is an artist based in South London, known for his vibrant and colorful animal paintings. His journey into this unique artistic expression began a few years ago, and his work has since gained significant popularity.

Whenever Thomas showcases his creations at art shows, visitors often suggest new animals for him to paint, ensuring that his ever-growing list of subjects remains dynamic and diverse. For anyone seeking a specific animal depiction, Thomas is always open to inquiries.

Over the years, Thomas has photographed all his works, amassing a collection of over 100 rainbow animal images. His art has found homes in collections worldwide, spanning China, Burma, New Zealand, South Africa, North America, and Europe. While most of his original pieces have been sold, nearly all are available as prints.

Thomas’s intention is for his images to complement one another, allowing them to be mixed and matched seamlessly. His prints are available in various sizes, designed to suit any space or room.

He also undertakes commissions, inviting those interested to fill out a contact form. Over the past decade, Thomas has exhibited his art at numerous fairs and is now proud to be part of the Arthouse Galleries group.
