We will contact you regarding delivery if you purchase. The painting I am submitting represents what I feel is a definitive example of my Stencil Expressionist style to date. So far it is in my opinion, the best of the Stencil Expressionist paintings I have produced and also the tightest and most refined depiction of this style. I feel that this work is also the blueprint and prototype for all future works I wish to undertake, explore and produce. Since beginning my career as an artist I have combined the practice of years painting fairly conventional depictions of landscapes and cityscapes with the exploration of different genres and styles which personally interested me and which applied to my own experimental artistic sensibilities. I have always wanted to create a style that I felt could incorporate the physical reality of life with what I thought and felt in purely conceptual artistic terms. All artists strive for their own style and their own identity. As an artist, creating a style that depicts a sense of real life but which also filters my personal instincts, emotional and mental states and expressive impulses has been a lengthy process, especially in doing so in an attempt to also find a style that doesn’t neccesarily fit the moulds of other artistic genres. Of course there is no such thing as an artists own genre, in a world of millions of artists unintentional plagiarism is inevitable. Whether Stencil Expressionism is my ‘own genre’ or something which already exists but has yet to be termed or explored to it’s fullest, my purity of vision towards this style has never felt more absolute. I’d like to think that the art work I am submitting is something which has cemented my own identity, and the starting point for some great work I’ve yet to achieve. Oil/Acrylic painting on canvas.
